So I just ran a search on my name, can you guess what the top result was…? NOT my web site, but a web site devoted to David Christie a survivor of EX-Gay experiences. I only read the first few lines, and I have no problem with the content, but I’m thinking wow a employer is going to google my name and find this site. The Number 1 google hit. This is not good. OH well, might as well make the best of it.
Welcome to my blog, I’ve been building a lot of these themes lately, and spouting off about how useful blogs are, so I figured it was about time I bite the bullet. I’m not the most verbose person you will ever run into so don’t expect good grammar or too much witty banter, you wont find it. You also wont find me talking about philosophy or economics, I’m just not that smart.
I will probably spend a lot of time chronicling my experiences as a freelance graphic designer and web designer. You might even find that I’m posting illustrations or drawings (this would be a long shot), or even photos of my latest cooking endeavors.
I suspect that I’ll often have links to my latest completed projects. I recently finished redesigning Ken Gasch’s website, he is a local realtor, who is doing a great job revitalizing down town durham. I also finished building a blog for Dunrite Home Maintenance.
The big project that I’ve been working on with Right Brain Studio has been SoBe Sober. SoBe Sober is an anti-underage drinking initiative in South Beach Florida. We were responsible for all of the street banners, bus wraps, t-shirts, and poster for 2009. It was pretty exciting seeing my work on the back of a bus. I also put some finishing touches on the web site as well.
So after uploading my site today, I decided to upgrade to the newest version of WordPress. It only took me 3 hours to get it back up and running. I thought it would be fun to upgrade with out reading the documentation, big mistake. but now I don’t have to worry about doing the upgrade myself, it should happen automaticaly.
Welcome to my blog, hopefully it will be much smoother from now on. I’m still running into trouble setting up the comments, but I’m sure I’ll have that fixed with in a day or two.
