For Mothers day I decided to give Trish a photo pendant of Lila. Rather then try to find a store or online photo site to buy one, I dusted off my old glass equipment. I haven’t used it for probably 5 or 6 years, and it was scattered throughout the house. I have tons of old glass, and all the supplies that I needed so it was perfect.
Ok, so I know it’s not yet mothers day and I’m talking about this. Trish knows about it and is already wearing it. There was no way for me to make it without her knowing, plus she hates surprises.
I made two pendants. The first was the bigger of the two. It’s made of two pieces of glass that sandwich a photo, soldered together, with a silver band wrapped around it. It was rather pretty, but way too big.
The second pendant is much smaller. Made the same way minus the silver band. This one is much lighter, and easier to wear.
